G-Max Testing
G-max testing provides synthetic turf owners with documentation on the field’s performance and characteristics from year to year. G-max testing is an invaluable tool in maintaining the safety and quality of your facility.
Annual testing is recommended to monitor a field’s performance and provide documentation of conformance with recommended safety criteria.
TTC professionals conduct testing and reporting in accordance with ΔSTM Standards (F1936-15 and F355-16ε¹). Specification for Impact Attenuation of Turf Playing Systems as Measured in the Field. The higher the G-Max value, the harder the field. Testing results exceeding 200g’s are deemed unsafe for play and require surface mitigation. Mitigation procedures could be as simple as field conditioning or as complex as replacing the field’s turf.
